Overview
GrammarEasy ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using the GrammarEasy app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
GrammarEasy is designed so that standard grammar checking works entirely on-device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your essays or personal data to any external server for standard checks. All rule-based grammar checking is performed locally on your device using native frameworks.
AI Deep Check Feature
When you use the optional AI Deep Check feature, your essay text is sent to a Cloudflare Worker proxy operated by us, which forwards the request to the Google Gemini API for analysis. The text is processed to generate grammar suggestions and is not stored on our servers or used to train AI models. AI Deep Check is an optional Premium feature.
Data Stored on Your Device
Your essays, checking history, and settings are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. This data never leaves your device unless you use iCloud backup, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Analytics
We may collect anonymised, aggregated usage analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve the product. This data cannot be used to identify you personally. We use Apple's App Store analytics for this purpose.
In-App Purchases
GrammarEasy offers optional Premium features via subscription. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment information.
Children's Privacy
GrammarEasy is designed for school students aged 8–16 and their parents. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Standard grammar checking is entirely on-device. When AI Deep Check is used, essay text is transmitted only for the purpose of generating grammar suggestions and is not retained.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
